Materials Needed

• 1 blue candle: Symbolises truth and clarity
• 1 black candle: Dispels lies and deception
• A piece of paper and a pen
• Dried sage or bay leaves: For truth and cleansing
• Clear quartz: Amplifies truth
• A mirror: Reflects the truth back
• A lighter or matches
• A small bowl of water (optional)
• Incense or cleansing tools: For preparing the space

Preparation

Cleanse Your Space

Begin by cleansing your area using your preferred method. You can burn sage, incense, or another cleansing herb, or simply visualise the space being cleared of negative energy. Ringing a bell can help break up stagnant or deceptive energy. The goal is to create a neutral environment ready to receive truth.

Set Up Your Circle

If you typically cast a circle, do so now. Call upon the elements or deities you work with to protect the space and ensure that truth will be revealed.

Spell Steps

1. Write Down the Liar’s Name

On a piece of paper, write down the name of the person you suspect is lying. Focus on your intention to reveal the truth about their words and actions.

2. Set Up the Candles

Place the blue candle on your right (for truth and clarity) and the black candle on your left (to dispel lies). Position the mirror between the candles, facing the paper with the liar’s name, allowing it to reflect and reveal hidden truths.

3. Light the Candles

Light the black candle first and say:

“I call upon the power of the night,
Reveal the lies, expose the blight.
Deception breaks, shadows clear,
The truth is brought to light, sincere.”

Next, light the blue candle and say:

“By the light of truth and clarity,
No falsehood shall hide from me.
I call upon the power of sight,
Show me now what’s wrong, what’s right.”

4. Empower the Herbs

Hold the dried sage or bay leaves, visualising them charging with energy to dispel lies. Say:

“Herbs of wisdom, pure and bright,
Bring to me the clearest sight.
Break the chains of deceit and lies,
Let the truth rise and reach my eyes.”

Place the herbs around the candles or lightly sprinkle them over the mirror.

5. Activate the Crystal

Hold the clear quartz and focus on its ability to amplify truth. Place it in front of the mirror, near the paper with the liar’s name.

6. Focus on the Mirror and Water

Gaze into the mirror, visualising the reflection of truth. Imagine the lies dissolving and the truth becoming clear. You might say:

“Mirror bright, show me clear,
All that’s hidden, now appear.
Reflect the truth, reveal what’s right,
Bring forth honesty to my sight.”

If you have a bowl of water, place it before the mirror as a symbol of clarity and intuition. Focus on it as a reflective surface for truth.

7. Seal the Spell

When ready, fold the paper with the liar’s name and place it under the blue candle. Focus on the candle’s light revealing the truth. Say:

“The spell is cast, the lies are gone,
The truth will rise with the coming dawn.
By flame and smoke, by air and earth,
Truth be revealed, for all its worth.”

Allow the candles to burn down safely or extinguish them when you feel the spell is complete, trusting that the truth will soon surface.

After the Spell

Keep the clear quartz with you to amplify clarity and truth in your interactions. Trust that the truth will be revealed, either directly from the person or through external means. Pay attention to your dreams, intuition, and conversations in the days following the spell. This ritual empowers you to uncover deception and face reality with strength.
